New Video! Owe Me Money - 2ls - Directed by NASIR

Here’s the Behind the Scenes of the “Owe Me Money” video we did earlier this month. It was a great experience, we knocked it out in about 8 hours and it came together beautifully couldn’t be happier. My crew killed it, fucking love my crew, rawwr. The video is coming soon so stay tuned and enjoy the beautifully shot BTS by @jeanette_ace (http://vimeo.com/jeanetteegenlauf) another extremely talented director and good friend, who has been there from the beginning….it’s still the beginning…but i mean the VERY beginning! Anyways enjoy it, much love and God bless.

Just got Avid Media Composer 6 last night so pretty excited to learn the workflow. This’ll be my first time using it on this Owe Me Money video and i’ve heard mixed things so it’ll be interesting to find out what’s true and what’s not. Right now the footage is still transcoding and will be till the end of tonight, so editing won’t begin till tomorrow morning. But all is well, gives me time to write!!!!

Mike Mills “Owe Me Money”
We shot this late last week, it was a one day shoot at the Burritt Room in San Francisco. I went there for a friends wedding party and fell in love with the location. The video surrounds Mike Mills and his Two Masqueraded Models. The concept is a Modern Romanticism, combining high fashion, the colors, feel and look of  Fuseli’s - The Nightmare and Gericaults - Raft of The Medusa and today’s pop culture themes: Women, Alcohol, Money and Sex.
Release date: Early February

2011 Director’s Reel

Here’s another video we shot late last year with Seaside artist A.Steez featuring Oakland’s own J.Stalin. We shot it in San Francisco’s chinatown and really just went out there and shot guerilla style, no permits, nothing really just run and gun. We actually shot this on the Red Epic with some 5D performance and inserts. We hadn’t shot on the Epic before and we were experimenting with a few things, some of which worked some of which didn’t. It was a fun shoot and quick I think we were out there for no longer than 8 hours.

Cueria which means "shoot em" was the basis of this music driven short film I did for the panamanian duo Los Rakas. Raka Dun and Raka Rich exact their revenge on officer O’leary, a dirty cop who wrongfully killed a young Raka. I wanted to push the limits and not do your normal performance based video, so I wrote a short film where the music plays more like a soundtrack to the action on screen and this is what we got!
